Ontario, Canada introduces Immigrant Nominee Corporate and Entrepreneur Program Effective May 31, 2017
Under the Ontario Provincial Nominee Program, Government of Ontario has introduced Ontario Immigrant Nominee Corporate and Entrepreneur Program effective May 31, 2017.
Government of Ontario has defined a detailed criteria for an Entrepreneur Stream Applicants seeking nomination from Ontario Government for Permanent Residency through Investment route.
The whole process has been been divided into two stages. Stage 1 involves Preparation, Registration and submission of Expression of Interest (EOI). The EOI if selected, an invitation is sent to apply and submit an application document. Post submission, application is assessed and if approved, applicant is required to enter into Performance Agreement with the State.
The Applicant and its family members are granted Temporary Work Permit for a limited time before an applicant proceeds to stage 2 of the program.
Stage 2 involves establishment of Business activity as per the Performance Agreement (PA) and Business Plan. Once the conditions for the Performance Agreement are fulfilled, an applicant may become eligible for the nomination by the Ontario Government for Permanent Residency under the program.
ONIP will monitor and report on the business establishment through physical visits or mandatory compliances upto 3 years after the nomination is granted to the applicant.
